The “Secure My Account” Checklist is a cybersecurity awareness activity focused on helping students identify and implement essential online security practices. Participants will evaluate different account settings and apply measures such as strong passwords, two-factor authentication, privacy controls, and secure recovery options.
As cyber threats continue to grow, this activity encourages students to think critically about digital safety and personal data protection. It provides practical knowledge that can be applied immediately to secure social media, email, academic, and professional accounts.
To promote cybersecurity awareness and encourage students to adopt safe digital habits that protect their personal information and online identities.

Introduction to cyber threats, phishing attacks, password security, and account protection best practices.
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Participants complete a security audit checklist and identify vulnerabilities in sample online accounts.
02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Students configure strong passwords, multi-factor authentication, privacy settings, and account recovery options.
